Frome Young Citizen of the Year Award 2012

Frome Selwood Rotary Club made their annual award of the Frome Young Citizen trophy on Tuesday 21st March This award is in memory of a former club member, Eric Cretney, who was passionate about youth and about Frome and spent much of his time working for the welfare of both. The award this year was given to Phoebe Webster, a student at Frome Community College.  She was presented with a cheque for £250 together with the glass obelisk Frome Young Citizen of the Year Award.  Members of the Rotary Club arrange to interview candidates early in the year for the award, and a person is chosen who they feel best represents the younger generation, and who does most to benefit others in the community in their day to day lives.  Some of Phoebe’s achievements involve playing the saxophone, belonging to a local musical group, taking part in Pilates classes and even helping out interviewing trainee teachers. Phoebe was accompanied by her parents Sarah and Don Webster.   Dot Cretney, Phoebe Webster, and Helen Woodhead (president of Frome Selwood Rotary Club)

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your article seem to
be running off the screen in Internet explorer. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know.

The design and style look great though! Hope you get
    the problem solved soon. Kudos
