Nunney Horse Trials title sponsorship lottery

THE title sponsor at this year’s Nunney International Horse Trials, which takes place from 14th – 16th June near Frome, could pay as little as £100 to have the event named after their company.

Organisers have come up with a lottery-style sponsorship scheme to encourage greater involvement from businesses and individuals, and to make sponsorship at the event affordable.

Tickets for the lottery cost £100 each. Everyone who purchases a lottery ticket is entered into a draw from which the title sponsor will be drawn.

As an official sponsor they also have their name in the event’s programme and are invited to a special party at the beginning of April when the winner will be drawn. Individual fence sponsors will also be entered into the draw.

The title sponsorship prize includes a table for eight in the hospitality tent on each of the three days the event takes place, car passes for each guest, and on the Sunday the company’s name on the number bibs for the CIC2* and official sponsorship of the CIC2* and intermediate classes, except the under 18 open intermediate.

The company’s name will also be carried on banners and advertising. A second prize is day sponsorship of Saturday, and the third ticket drawn will be day sponsor of Friday’s competition.

Organiser John Colson said, “It makes sponsorship very affordable to a wide range of people, they all have an equal chance of becoming the title sponsors. The party for everyone who buys a ticket should be a lot of fun.”

Sponsors are not just restricted to one ticket, and can buy as many as they want to increase their chances of winning. For more details or to buy a ticket, email John Colson at or Chris Le Hardy at clehardy@btinter
