A TEN-YEAR-OLD has swum 5km to raise £367 to help children and young people with disabilities.
Max Grimes swam 200 lengths at Frome Leisure Centre on Monday 8th April, which took him three hours.
Max also swims in his school squad at Springmead and does Rookie Lifeguard at Creative Aquatic. He was inspired to take on his sponsored swim by a charity week at his school and Comic Relief.
Max chose to raise money for his cousin Gemma’s school, St Rose’s School in Stroud, and recently presented Gemma’s class with a cheque. The school takes children from 2-19 years from many counties providing a nurturing and happy environment. Max enjoyed a tour of the school and spending time in his cousin’s class. He is now planning his next fundraising challenge!
