Join PAC’s Splash of Purple: 8th-23rd March in Frome

PEOPLE in Frome are being urged to join the Positive Action on Cancer  charity (PAC) and get involved in their annual Splash of Purple event.

PAC, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is hosting a range of events including a  curry night, a quiz night and a choir concert.

PAC is teaming up with the Jhalmuri Restaurant on Palmer Street to host a fundraising ‘Curry Night’. The event will take place on Sunday 23rd February at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 per person.

Pit your wits at the PAC Quiz Night which will be held at Frome Town Football Club on Saturday 8th March at 7.00pm. Tickets are £12 per team (max. six per team).

On Saturday 15th March at 7.30pm PAC have a choir concert in Bruton, at St Mary’s Church on Silver Street. The programme is an exciting selection of sacred and secular choral music from Rachmaninoff and Byrd to Louis Armstrong and Billy Joel. Something for everyone to enjoy!

Tickets are £10 per person and concessions £7. Call the PAC office for tickets.

All event tickets are available in advance from Eventbrite.co.uk where you can now pay online with your card. You can also pop into the PAC office at 2a Market Place or ring on 01373 455255.

Kelly Lewis, PAC fundraising assistant  said, “We are very pleased to be working with Jhalmuri and the football club.  We held similar events last year and they were a great success.  Tickets are limited so I would advise you to book early by visiting www.eventbrite.co.uk,  search for either  ‘Curry Night, Frome’, ‘Quiz Night, Frome’  or ‘Choir Concert, Bruton’ Or all three! We look forward to seeing you.”

PAC is currently the only organisation to offer professional counselling to any adults or children affected or bereaved by cancer and other life threatening illnesses in BANES, Somerset and West Wilts. PAC receives no central government funding and depends on community fundraising, grant making trusts, the generosity of individual donors and their volunteer fundraisers.
