Cats Protection stall a success in Frome

ORGANISERS of a Cats Protection street stall extend their thanks to those who helped their fundraising attempt in Frome last month.

The stall was held outside Frome Pet & Aquatics Centre on Saturday 30th August to raise money for the Cats Protection charity.

Organiser Ruth Travis said, “Due to the bad weather on Bank Holiday Monday we were unable to hold a stall at Lacock Street Fayre, so myself and another volunteer, Lesley York, spent the day making plum jam, which sold very well on Saturday.

“We’d like to thank Frome Pet & Aquatics and many generous visitors and supporters on the day. The weather was very kind to us and we made £170 for Cats Protection.”

The stall had homemade crafts and Cat Protection goods, Christmas cards, calenders and diaries, and a lucky dip.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and helps over 200,000 cats a year.
