Independent opticians celebrates 25 years in Frome

Eyetech Independent Opticians is celebrating 25 years in Frome this month.

To mark the occasion, Eyetech will be raising money for the Poppy Appeal and Frome based Positive Action on Cancer.

To raise the money, Eyetech will be holding a charity prize draw and selling tickets at the practice throughout November.

Prizes include a 10 week art course from local tutor David Chandler, a magnum of champagne and a signed Limited Edition print from Yapp Brothers Wine Merchants, Italian breakfast at Paccamora Café, Ray-Ban glasses, a Nikon camera, a frame from Elizabeth Lee Interiors, a family portrait session, Eyeplan hamper and Sunwise sunglasses.  Winners will be selected at the end of November.

An anniversary evening is also planned for patients on Thursday 6th November from 4.00pm – 7.00pm at 25 Market Place.  Eyetech are inviting patients to attend for drinks and nibbles and will be offering 10% off purchases made on the night.  Eyeplan members will be eligible for an extra 10% off above and beyond their special Eyeplan prices.

Guy Dawe-Lane, Eyetech director said, “We are very proud to be marking 25 years as an independent practice in Frome.  Since opening the business, we have always strived to offer our patients the very best eye care and continue to invest in the latest technology.

“The anniversary even-ing is our way of saying thank you to our wonderful patients who have shown us loyalty and support since we opened in November 1989.  We’re also looking forward to raising money for two fantastic causes at the same time.”

Eyetech Independent Opticians originally opened on Bath Street in 1989 before moving to its current location in the Market Place.  Eyetech also opened a second practice in the new Medical Centre at Enos Way in 2013.  The practice offers the Eyeplan eye care scheme to make the highest quality eye care more affordable and accessible.  For more information please visit www.eyetech-opticians.co.uk.
