Return of The Frome Independent

The Frome Independent comes out of it’s winter hibernation on Sunday 1st March to once again take over the streets of Frome town centre.

The market is looking forward to its return, packed full with plenty of old favourites and a healthy injection of new young blood to liven things up.

Tabitha Clayson from The Frome Independent said, ‘We’re thrilled to have an expanded Suitcase Sale with more young designers and makers than ever before. We’ve been inundated with many excellent applications across the market and are particularly pleased that over a third of successful applicants in the Suitcase Sale are under 26.

“We offer a subsidised rate of only £10 for young designers and makers and have been really impressed by the standard of young applicants and the range of products and ideas they will bring to the market, everything from personalized tea mugs and handmade cosmetics to laser cut-out books.

“Meanwhile the Designer Maker and Flea sections continue to grow in quality and variety and promise to be able to dress you or your home from top to toe with all manner of contemporary unique designs and vintage and retro treasures.”

The market is also justly proud of it’s hugely popular food offer that, with around 60 food stalls across the Artisan, Street Food and Somerset Farmer’s Market sections, is really the place to get the best of local and regional produce to take away or eat on the hoof.

Market stalwarts Donna Somerset in the Flea and Lost & Found Productions in Market Place, return to provide a spring soundtrack to the socializing and shopping and will be joined by  Frome FM who will be recording and broadcasting live from the top of Catherine Hill.

As their recent poster declares ‘you can’t buy happiness but you can shop at The Frome Independent  and that’s pretty close’ – so leave the car at home (or in Frome Medical Centre car park and hop on the (free) bus) and take a spring stroll into town to visit the once-a-month pop up community on Sunday 1st March 10.00am – 3.00pm, Park and Ride at Frome Medical Centre car park.
