Relive the magic of Abba or join in a special fundraising event at the Memorial this month

Whatever your taste in music, the Memorial’s offering this March includes ‘pop’ and ‘pomp’!

‘Waterloo’ – Saturday 14th March, 7.30pm: In 1974 the little known Swedish pop group Abba swept to superstardom with their Eurovision winning ‘Waterloo’, and four decades later the song and the band remain as popular as ever.

Now the phenomenal new tribute show ‘Waterloo’ looks back at the sensational rise to stardom of Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anni-Frid and gives fans the opportunity to experience the thrill of a live Abba show!

The unique Abba sound is replicated with an incredible attention to detail by a full live cast and band – with stunning costumes and breathtaking choreography.

The wonderful lyrics penned by Benny and Bjorn are sung in wonderful, captivating harmony from the opening refrain to the final sing-along chorus of this two-hour spectacular. Tickets £18.

The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines –  Saturday 21st March, 7.30pm: In 2015 the Frome Royal Naval Association celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Royal Marines Band concerts at the Memorial Theatre.

This fundraising event has supported various activities in the area including local Sea Cadet unit TS Achilles. This has been possible because of the vision and hard work of one man, Shipmate Ken Ring.

Frome RNA are determined to continue with the gift he left behind and invite the people of Frome who have supported them over the last 20 years to join them again and bring along a friend to experience this wonderful evening of music, pomp and humour. Tickets £17.00.
