Strange Birds …

Watch out for some strange birds in some of the gardens on Nunney Open Gardens Day on Sunday 28th June, the theme chosen for this year.

There will be about 20 gardens in all shapes, styles and sizes that will be open from 11.00am to 5.00pm. The cost is being held at £5 for an adult, and children are welcome free if accompanied by an adult.  There will be a list of things that might interest children in the gardens.

Some of the gardens are at the edges of the village so a minibus will be regularly going round from the village square. This is also where you will need to pay for a plan of which gardens are open and where they are. There will be a stall with produce for sale from the gardens.

Please park in the two areas arranged at the Old Quarry Gardens and the Village Hall, as it is important that the main roads  are kept free of parking. Also at the Village Hall there will be light refreshments all day including cream teas which will be available at the church as well.

Dogs will be allowed in the gardens with the permission of the gardener.

As always gardeners are dependent on the weather but even if it rains on the day itself most gardeners will come in wellies and macs. Gardeners are usually interested in what other people do and even if you are not a gardener it is often fun just visiting.
