Seasonal swigs at Milk Street Brewery

MILK Street Brewery is hoping to catch people’s eyes with a Christmas gift with a difference as its seasonal beers go on sale to the public.

The Frome-based brewery is offering a new mini keg of its best-selling beer Funky Monkey, as well as boxes of popular tipples Bobbled, Winter Spice, and Beer. In keeping with the giving festive spirit, all beers ordered for Christmas will come with two free branded glasses.

Director of the brewery Cathy Lyall said, “If you’re looking for an original gift idea or the finest locally produced beer for the festive season, don’t forget to order your beer from Frome’s Milk Street Brewery!

“The mini keg, a little five litre barrel with a tap, is a new venture for us and we hope to be out and about in Frome during 2016 selling direct to the local beer drinkers.

“We will also be setting up an online shop so that we can deliver our beer direct to your door!

“2015 has been another very busy year for us at the brewery. We have further expanded with more new equipment, a copper, new fermenter and mash tun.  We have doubled capacity to meet the demand of our increased sales into pubs across the south and into the south east.

“Along with expanding our capacity we have also expanded our range and now have seven beers in our core range and 12 beers in the seasonal range. The clips have all had a re-design and are looking great thanks to Jade Berry at Black Ink graphic design.

“If you like a traditional pub with fine craft beers and live music then be sure to come to The Griffin, the brewery tap where you will find lots of festive events and the finest beer in Frome.”

Milk Street Brewery is based at the back of The Griffin pub, and was founded by brewing enthusiast Rik Lyall in 1999. The company has a wide range of beers made from local ingredients which can be bought in five litre kegs or 36litre boxes.

They can be pre-ordered now from the brewery on 01373 467766 and collected in time for Christmas.
