Frome Community College has made significant improvements in the exam performance league tables which were released last week.
In 2015, 57% of Frome College pupils achieved five A* – C GCSEs; this is up by 5% from last year’s figures and a 10% rise from 2012.
Principal Gavin Ball said, “Release of the official figures for the 2015 GCSE exam results once again confirms the continued improvement in results at Frome College.
“GCSE results were the highest ever, above national averages, presenting another significant step forward in the college’s ongoing journey of improvement.
“We are immensely proud of our students for their achievements, and the increased progression opportunities these results offer.
“Many have chosen to remain at the college and we are excited by the momentum of the achievement they continue to demonstrate, as well as the progress they have already made in sixth form.
“Staff and students in Year 11 are confident and committed to ensuring that this year’s GCSE results will once again be our best ever.”
