Stay fit with free health walks for all abilities

FREE health walks are being run in Frome to help local people stay fit and healthy at no cost.

On Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) a short easy walk sets off from the Cheese & Grain at 10.30am and walks 1-1.5 miles in 30-45 minutes.

On Wednesdays a slighter more difficult 45-50 minute walk takes place from Frome Medical Centre starting at 9.30am.

Then on Fridays, walks generally ranging from three to five miles set off from different places around the area. All walks on a Friday start at 10.30am.

The next one will be this Friday, 4th August, at Bourton Near Zeals (SP8 5AT), taking in 3.75 miles of undulating tracks, paths and quiet country roads, in the upper Stour Valley.  Park in the lay-by in vicinity of the White Lion Pub.

On Friday 11th August the walk will start from Chapmanslade Village Hall carpark (BA13 4AT) exploring around 3 miles on field woodland paths and minor roads.

On Friday 18th August, meet at Frome Library for a walk of 5 miles to Great Elm.

On Friday 25th August, the walk starts in the village of Heytesbury, Wiltshire, embarking on a gentle 3.75 mile stroll along the River Wylye. Meet at the far end of the village. (Old A36 past Angel Inn. Do not park by the pub. Park much further down towards Knook & Upton Lovell end of village.)
