FMTC presents Jack and the Beanstalk

Panto season is upon us – oh yes it is! And tickets are flying out the box office for Frome Musical Theatre Company’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk, a traditional family pantomime.

Rehearsals are in full swing for this timeless fairy tale, which takes place at the Frome Memorial Theatre from 28th December to 1st January.

When Jack’s family exchange their dear cow Buttermilk for some magic beans the unimaginable happens. The beans grow overnight into a magnificent beanstalk, enabling Jack to climb to the magical land above the clouds, ruled by a greedy Giant. Jack and his friends bravely rescue the young Princess held captive in the Giant’s castle and save the village!

The award-winning Frome Musical Theatre Company pantomime promises plenty of slapstick humour, fabulous costumes, joyous musical numbers and of course…some magic! A must-see for the whole family this festive season.

With last year’s pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs selling out before Christmas, early booking is highly recommended as more than half the tickets are already sold!

The cast: Jack – Kathryn Wright, Princess Charlotte – Emma Aspray, Dame Dottie Dimple – Jon O’Loughlin, Simple Simon – Ross Turnball, Piccalilli – Anna Lee, Fairy Sugardust – Sarah Bolton, Rancid the Ratman – Dan Bolton, King Crumble – Wayne Kelly, Queen Apricot – Ria MacRae Nash, Snatchet – Steve Middle, Scarper – Garry Hill, Humphrey and body of the Giant – Simon Joyce, Harpist – Millie Weare, Buttermilk the Cow – Hannah Stamp and Lauren Nolan, Voice of Giant – Humphrey Barnes.
