Magnificent Maya smashes killer blow for Frome Town Ladies

Frome Town Ladies started the season with a convincing 1-0 win over Bishops Lydeard.

Frome Ladies were held to a draw at half time. But after the half time break, Frome Town’s centre forward, Emily Petteford, got a shot on target, but was saved well by the home team goalkeeper.

Bishops continued to struggle to get the ball, as Frome’s midfield sprayed the ball around the park.

The breakthrough came as Enna Christmas smashed through the defence towards goal again, the keeper and defender just to deny her a goal, only for the loose ball to be dispatched with venom into the goal from 6 yards by flying winger Maya Saviour.

Bishops rallied in the last 10mins, but a strong Frome defence stood firm.
