The Lions Club of Frome will be holding this year’s annual Charity Golf Day at Orchardleigh Golf Club, Frome, on Friday 17th May.

Lion Mike Geake reports, “The chosen charity for the 2019 event is Nova Sports and Coaching – a non-profit organisation which delivers high quality inclusive sport to individuals of all abilities. The sports offered include athletics, rugby, football Boccia – powerchair football, wheelchair basketball, dodgeball and tennis. Their Outreach programme visits schools, colleges and community groups to introduce disabled and non-disabled individuals, in Bath/Frome and the surrounding areas, to new accessible sports. “Voluntary contributions make a vital difference to the activities that they are able to offer and, crucially, through the purchase of specialist equipment, who they are able to benefit. We hope that with support from the golf day, they will be able to extend this valuable service to more people in our area.

“The success of the day depends not just upon support from the participants who take part, but also upon the generosity of our sponsors. We are delighted once again to be able to welcome Western Building Consultants (http://www.westernbuildingconsultants.com) as our principal sponsor and also our other key sponsors, Lansdown Place Wealth Management, Rogers & Co and Chase de Vere, we thank them all for their kind and most generous support.
