Sign up NOW for Frome Window Wanderland, say organisers of the popular event.

“It’s not long until the third annual Frome Window Wanderland, being held this year Friday 28th February to Monday 2nd March, 5.30-9pm each evening, and we are urging local residents to sign up to this free event and put their homes onto our online event map to also be included in our free printed map.

“Frome Window Wanderland is a fun community event where anyone can make a display in their own window (or garden) and light it up for others to wander around and enjoy. The event is completely free with no fees to participate.

“To ensure your address appears on both the online and printed map we will be issuing a deadline of the second week of February. Nearly 80 homes, shops and businesses have already signed up, but we would love this number to beat the 220 who created displays last year!

“The event follows the February half-term break, and we are providing lots of workshops on the run up to the event, giving adults and children an opportunity to design and make colourful window decorations to take home and display for Frome Window Wanderland 2020 as follows:

• Saturday 15th Feb 10am-12pm Trinity Church Hall

• Monday 17th Feb 10am-12pm Cheese & Grain (in assoc. with Frome Children’s Festival)

• Wednesday 19th Feb 10am-1pm Christchurch First School (in assoc. with Frome Children’s Festival, includes lunch by Fair Frome)

• Friday 21st Feb 2-4pm Frome Town Hall

• Saturday 22nd Feb 10am-12pm Silhouette Workshop at Frome Library

“We are also running a series of three drop-in evening sessions for adults at Black Swan Arts on Thursday 30th Jan, 6th Feb and 13th Feb 7-9pm (over 18s BYO)

“Making a display can be as simple as a lounge window with your favourite piece of clothing hanging in it, fairy lights in the garden, a front room disco or your favourite book in the window, it is completely up to you. Or you can always lend your window to someone who wants to make a display.

“It is easy to sign up, just register and put your address on the online map at our page on the Window Wanderland website www.windowwanderland.com/   event/frome-2020. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.”
