Issue 309 – Frome College leads the nation on good behaviour

It’s official – Frome Community College has been recognised as bucking the trend on school behaviour.

The college has been designated a ‘Lead Behaviour School’ by the Government; one of only 20 such schools in the country. This designation is given to schools where behaviour is judged outstanding, and the school manages behaviour issues to an exceptionally high standard. The college will now work with other schools and teachers in encouraging good practice.

Wendy Missons, principal at the college said, “We are delighted to be awarded such an accolade. It recognises the exceptional work of staff, students and their families in recent years to ensure we are a safe and well-ordered community. Young people do misbehave at times – but parents can be confident Frome College is at the forefront in ensuring outstanding behaviour, and the sense of safety and happiness at school which comes with it.”
