Issue 314 – It’s show time in Frome – oh yes it is!

WITH the festive season fast approaching, there is a double treat in store in Frome with two fabulous Christmas shows planned over the festive season.

‘Peter Pan, the British Musical’ is at the Merlin Theatre, from 9th-18th December and ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ is at the Memorial Theatre from 29th December to 2nd January 2011. Tickets in both theatres are now on sale and the message is ‘don’t leave it too late’ as both productions are expected to be a sell-out.
The Merlin Theatre prides itself on stunning Christmas productions and this year is no exception. The set is under construction in the workshop and a talented team are rehearsing Peter Pan under the direction of Claudia Pepler.

Frome Amateur Dramatic Society’s production of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ at the Memorial Theatre will contain the expected pantomime mix of songs and humour to suit all ages. The FAOS pantomime is now well established as one of the best pantomimes in the area and is favourably compared to the professional pantomimes of Bath and Bristol, such is the reputation of the FAOS.
