THREE men have appeared before South Somerset Magistrates Court in Yeovil in relation to an incident in Frome when a man was shot in the eye with a .22 air rifle.
Lloyd Jones, Scott Doel and Luke Aylesbury were brought before the Magistrates Court on Monday 14th of November.
It is understood that victim Ricky Owen was withdrawing money from an ATM in Frome town centre when he was allegedly shot in the back, upon turning around, he was then shot in the eye at approximately 12.30am on Saturday 12th of November.
Jones admitted to shooting Ricky Owen in the eye, with Doel allegedly shooting him in the back.
Jones pleaded guilty to a charge of GBH and referred directly to the crown court on Monday the 28th of November.
Aylesbury was charged with intending to pervert the course of justice by concealing the air rifle, which is the property of Doel, and is set to appear before the crown court on Monday the 28th of November. He did not enter any plea.
The case against Doel was adjourned until 12th of January, after he was charged with aiding and abetting, counselling or procuring Jones to maliciously wound Ricky Owen, along with a second allegation of assault. He did not enter any plea.
