Secret millionaire mentors businesswomen over lunch

FEMALE business owners of Frome enjoyed the company and advice from international author and business writer Margaret Heffernan over lunch at boutique restaurant The Archangel.

The event saw entrepreneurs and small business owners collaborating with one another and seeking advice from Margaret, whose work has been read across the world over, from the US and Europe to the Middle East.

Margaret’s eagerly awaited speaking engagements have captured audiences of some of the world’s largest corporations, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Proctor and Gamble, as well as many international universities and business schools. Margaret also featured in ‘The Secret Millionaire’ a British reality television show, where she went under cover to identify and support community figures helping those more vulnerable in their communities.

After the lunch event Margaret delighted the South West business community, of both men and women, with an inspiring talk about how the roles of female CEOs and entrepreneurs have helped to shape and change the model of emotional intelligence present in business practices today.

Rebecca Krzyzosiak event co-organiser said, “We’ve had excellent feedback from both events; thank you to all those who came along and joined in with the discussion. Margaret was a generous and inspirational speaker.

“The events were a fantastic way to kick off the business festival and we feel very fortunate to have had someone of Margaret’s professional expertise and credentials involved in the programme. I’m looking forward to the publication of her next book!”

The business festival continues until July with an array of topics aimed at small and creative businesses in and around the South West, with the festival taking place in Frome and surrounding areas. The programme of events is being organised by Frome and District Chamber of Commerce with Forward space, Frome Creative Network (incorporating Creative Frome) and support from Burton Sweet Accountants.
