Frome – something to shout about!

ANATIONALpublicity campaign to promote Frome as a fantastic short break tourism destination – as well as showing that it is a great place to live and work – is to be launched by Frome Town Council.

The marketing group of Frome town team, working closely with the town council, has recently appointed Siren Communications to undertake a national PR campaign to raise the profile of Frome.

The campaign will showcase the town’s diverse tourism offerings and position it as a haven for creative arts and independent shops.

The team will be led by consumer director Victoria Savill, who said, “Frome is one of those places that when you stumble upon it, you wonder how on Earth you hadn’t heard about it before. The town is an eclectic mix of creative, independent shops on bustling cobbled streets and high tech start-ups. And, with nearby attractions such as Babington House and Longleat Safari Park on its doorstep, Frome truly has something to shout about.

“In the build-up to the summer season, Siren Communications will help to showcase all aspects of the town, from fantastic shopping opportunities and a nationally renowned creative arts and design scene, to great restaurants and bars, fun festivals and enterprising entrepreneurial start-ups.  All of this, less than two hours from London, proves that Frome is a must-visit town and the perfect place to while away a day or a lifetime, exploring the hidden sights and sounds that no other destination can deliver.”

Karen Clements from Frome Town Council added, “It’s great to be working with Siren Communications on our forthcoming PR activity. With so much to offer the day visitor, second homeowner or new resident, we’re confident Siren will help put us on the map as a ‘can’t miss’ UK destination.”

Can you help promote Frome?

An important part of the programme is having people who are passionate about their town available to work with Siren to help spread the word.

David Hampson, chair of the marketing group said, “If you have moved here recently and are telling all your friends or have lived here for years and know every interesting story, the marketing group needs you.”

The aim is to have a pool of people reflecting different key areas who are happy to be contacted by the press and share their experience and love of the town.
