FROME’S Super Market returns to town on Sunday 2nd June, with organisers promising plenty of stalls and new features for the popular monthly market.
The Frome Super Market proved a huge success when it was trialled in 2012, attracting thousands of shoppers to the town. This year, the market is being put on a new level with substantial investment by Mendip District Council and Frome Town Council.
The market will now be delivered by the new Frome Super Market Company, a not-for-profit group which will ensure markets run smoothly, improving co-ordination and promoting the market. The company is also planning some additional features to the market. In addition to the traditional Artisan and Flea market, and high quality food stalls from Somerset Farmers’ Markets, the market will be introducing suitcase and wheelbarrow pitches. There are also plans for street entertainment and a children’s market. These new exciting dimensions to the Super Market will emerge over the summer months.
The Frome Super Market will be held on the first Sunday of each month in 2013, up to and including December. It will be open from 10.00am-2.00pm.
New traders are welcome, and can apply for a stall online at www.fromesupermarket.co.uk.
The intention is that the Frome Super Market will develop into one of the most popular and unique markets in the country and will really help to put Frome on the map as a visitor destination.
