People of Frome – your theatre needs you!

FROME Memorial Theatre is continuing its success and increasing the number of performances – and needs more volunteers to ensure the theatre can keep up with demand.

You are invited to an open day on Saturday 31st August, from 10.00am-1.00pm to find out more about volunteering.

Anna Tree, marketing and promotions officer at the theatre explains, “Due to our continuing success as a entertainment venue in the heart of Frome, and the increase in the number of performances being held in our adjoining Assembly Rooms, we are holding another open day on Saturday 31st August.

“We now require a number of additional new volunteers who have an interest in live performance and music to help in various departments.

“We would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to train in backstage and technical areas. We also need people with computer skills who might like to work in our box office, help with our administration and in our advertising and marketing  department – especially anyone who has an interest in social media.

“In return, the theatre can offer you training opportunities, additional skills for your CV and a chance to meet new people and have fun.

“Anyone with a general interest who wants to have a look around is also very welcome to join us for a behind- the-scenes tour of the theatre, and to have a chat with our existing volunteers and  the theatre’s trustees about their roles.  Light refreshments will  also be available.”
