Frome Town Supporters Club’s appeal going well

Frome Town’s Official Supporters Club launched an appeal to raise funds for essential new floodlights some three months ago .

Supporters club chairman, Geoff Morton-Norris has announced that the running total has reached £7,000. He said, “This has been a fantastic effort from the committee and individual supporters in raising so much in such a short time.

“We plan to organise a grand draw for 19th April and would like the local business community to help with prizes. We will list all contributors on our website and in the local press, but every donation will be greatly appreciated.

“We have just received a prize from the Holiday Inn at Bristol Airport and have had some other prizes promised but it would be great to have a wide ranging list that would create interest for everyone. We also plan to arrange other activities over and above our weekly/monthly events.

“Adrian Foster and Paul Thorpe have kindly donated a Yeovil Town shirt signed by the entire team and a signed print mounted in a frame of Ronaldinho which we hope to auction in the coming weeks.

“Anyone interested should contact me on 07564 256216 or visit the supporters club cabin on match days or check the Frome Town website at www.frometownfc.co.uk/fans/supportersclub.”
