Acupuncture Awareness Week gets to the point in Frome

AS part of Acupuncture Awareness Week local acupuncturist Martin John is encouraging Frome residents to consider a fresh approach to some of their health concerns.

Martin is a degree level trained acupuncturist and herbalist who runs two busy practices in Bath and Frome. By offering half price initial consultations at his Frome practice, if booked during Acupuncture Awareness Week, he hopes to encourage people to find out more about traditional acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

Acupuncture has become a popular treatment of choice for pain over the last decade in the UK with many people having had experience of acupuncture from their physio or GP. However, most traditional acupuncturists are degree level trained and have a much deeper understanding of how this system of medicine can benefit the individual.

Martin said, “Most people have heard acupuncture can be beneficial for pain relief, but are often surprised to hear that traditional acupuncture treatments can also help with their other complaints such as IBS, insomnia, hormone imbalance or stress.
