Healthwatch Forum – a voice for health and social care issues

The ‘Talking Cafe’ at the Cheese and Grain is hosting a session by Healthwatch Somerset on Monday 13th October between 10.00am-12.00 noon.

A representative of the organisation which provides a voice to people in the county on health and social care services will be in attendance to inform local people how they can influence the delivery of services that affect us all.

Russell Kent, on behalf of Healthwatch Somerset said, “Healthwatch is the independent organisation that  wants us to tell them of our experiences – good or bad – so that they can liaise with service commissioners and providers on our behalf.

“The Care Forum, which has the Healthwatch contract for Somerset, also provides the reputable on-line services directory, Well Aware. Much of what Healthwatch does is undertaken by volunteers and if you are interested in hearing more about the three different types of volunteering opportunities available just pop along for an informal chat.

“If you can’t make it on 13th October, but want to learn more, contact Healthwatch Somerset on 01823 751403 or visit their website www.healthwatchsomerset.co.uk. ”
