Dylan Thomas, the Welsh poet and author of ‘Under Milk Wood’ was born one hundred years ago in October 1914.
There’s an opportunity to join in celebrations of his centenary at Christ Church Parish Hall in Park Road, Frome on Saturday 25th October at 3.30pm.
A selection of Dylan Thomas’s wonderful poetry and prose and extracts from ‘Under Milk Wood’ will be read. Readers will include Sian and Anthony Davies (from Swansea, like Dylan), along with Laurie Parnell and Miss Caitlin Mosler.
The Christ Church hall will be disguised as the Kardomah Café where Dylan spent many happy hours in his youth. The audience will sit round tables, and will be served with tea and freshly baked welsh cakes! Admission costs £7 (£5 concessions) and includes the refreshments.
Numbers are limited so, to avoid disappointment, places can be reserved in advance by emailing annburgess@hotmail.co.uk or turn up on the day and take pot luck!
