Charity raffle raises over £900

THE winner of a Christmas raffle has nominated Macmillan Cancer Support as her chosen charity to benefit from the proceeds. 

Mrs Ray Whitmarsh won Jane’s Hair Salon’s annual Christmas raffle which entitles the winner to choose a charity to benefit from the amount raised by the raffle.

This year was a bumper year with £904 raised from the event and Ray chose Macmillan Cancer Support as her charity.

Jane Wilson, owner of Jane’s Hair Salon said, “I would like to thank everybody that supported the raffle this year and helped us raise such a great amount. The charity chosen by Ray is a fantastic cause so I am pleased.”
