Approx 2,000 people descended onto the Cheese & Grain for the first Tattoo Convention, which featured top tattoo artists, barbers and piercing on the weekend of 31st January and 1st February.
Tim Beale, the event organiser, was thrilled with the turn-out. He said, “For our first ever Tattoo event it was a great success and proved how diverse Frome is. An enjoyable time was had by all the stall holders and visitors alike, even those bravely enduring the needle!”
Winners of the weekend include Best In Show Ryan (the Scientist) Smith from Studio Ink in Westbury, Best Colour Kiefer Lilley from Cherub Tattoo Parlour in Devizes, Best Black/Grey Jason Parry from Pointbreak Tattoos in Portishead (his first ever convention) and Miss Ink UK Winner was Oh Carolina who performed on a bed of nails!
The success of this first event ensures that it will come back again next year.
