Visual artist, Victoria Anne Collis, who is based in Frome, is the April artist of the month at the Cheese & Grain.
Her latest work, ‘Sky, Earth, Water,’ is a series of sensitive and beautiful etchings, dry points, mono prints and paintings inspired by Purton Wrecks, Gloucestershire – a place where vessels have ended up beached, from all over the world.
Her meticulous observation of line and surface is illustrated in her pieces. Capturing the energy and power of decay and deterioration within nature, Victoria has seen beyond the recognisable form of the vessels and has created this abstract collection.
Victoria holds a BA (hons) in creative arts with Bath Spa University.
