A Frome-based charity has reached their Crowdfunder goal of £350.
This is a very exciting opportunity for Openstorytellers, who work with storytellers who have learning disabilities to get their voices heard in the wider community.
The charity has been raising money to enable their storytelling group to learn valuable new skills by attending a masterclass with the esteemed cast of ‘The Devil’s Violin’ since the 3rd February, and they successfully hit their target on the 16th March.
Cindy Moxham, director of Openstorytellers said, “I’d like to thank everyone who’s pledged or helped spread the word. This is such a great opportunity for our storytelling group and we’re so grateful for the generosity of the local community. We’ve been overwhelmed by everyone’s support.”
There is still a number of days left of their campaign so the charity are now working towards their stretch goal of £600. Any additional money they raise will now be put towards future events and workshops.
If you would like to support Openstorytellers, you can pledge over on their website: www.crowdfun der.co.uk/openstorytellers Everyone who pledges will receive a thank you gift from Openstorytellers, which ranges between a personalised letter to a T shirt designed by the team themselves.
