TWO classic acts are lined up to perform at the Memorial this spring.
Top television comedian Jimmy Tarbuck OBE swaps The London Palladium for Frome Memorial Theatre on Saturday 30th May, 7.30pm:
Tarby, as he is known to millions of TV viewers, is one of the country’s most evergreen performers and a master of light entertainment.
Having successfully spent more than 40 years in the notoriously fickle world of show business, Jimmy has hosted numerous television, variety, chat, and game shows and his cheeky grin and boy-next-door charms have won him fans far away from his native Liverpool.
Tarby is at his best in front of a live audience and he will be sharing anecdotes, demonstrating his quickfire wit and thoroughly entertaining the audience in a show which promises comedy for grown-ups rather than adult comedy. Tickets: £19.50.
Marty Wilde & the Wildcats – Friday 5th June, 7.30pm:
A chance to see live on stage, one of the only performing Rock’n’Roll pioneers in the world today.
Marty began his career in 1957 and was one of the first British singers to play a leading part in those early formative, and groundbreaking Rock’n’Roll years.
With his many hits and a host of wonderful songs from that era, Marty and his fabulous band the Wildcats take you back through some of the most exciting musical times this country has ever experienced.
A fantastic evening awaits as Marty and the band entertain you on this stunning musical roller coaster, which has become one of the most acclaimed shows in the country today.
Don’t miss it! Tickets £20.00.
A delicious two course pre-meal show is available before both of these performances. Please contact the box office for further details – 01373 462795 –
