Wrestling is back with a bang!

The Cheese and Grain in Frome will host another International Professional Wrestling spectacular on Sunday 21st June, as former WWE star Brodus Clay, aka Tyrus in TNA Impact Wrestling arrives in Frome.

Wrestling fans in town flock to the wrestling events at the Cheese and Grain promoted by CSF (Combat Sports Federation) three times per year, with the event in June set to be the biggest yet.

Brodus Clay became a huge star in WWE NXT before moving on to WWE Monday Night Raw where he became World Heavyweight Champion: Alberto Del Rio’s bodyguard and later famously became known as the ‘Funkasaurus’ when he teamed up with Naomi, Cameron and Sweet T.

He quickly had wrestling fans using his catchphrase ‘Somebody Call My Momma’ before moving over to TNA Impact Wrestling on Challenge TV and now competes alongside opponents such as Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Mark Andrews, James Storm, Bobby Lashley and the Wolves with his team partner EC3. On Sunday 21st June Brodus Clay will appear at ‘CSF SHOWDOWN’ for one night only.

In another top of the bill match-up, All Nations Champion: Charlie Garrett puts his belt on the line against top UK star Iestyn Rees.

Garrett won the prestigious title in Frome back in October last year and now he is set to return to the venue where he captured the Championship (from Nathan Bane), as he puts his belt on the line against the number one heavyweight in the country. Garrett successfully defended the title against Chris ‘Shark’ Andrews in February of this year and now moves on to face Iestyn Rees.

Other bouts will see Odyssey face off against Reece Taylor and in Tag Team action Team H8 v The Magnums.

Frome has become one of the most popular places to watch CSF Wrestling, attracting large audiences of all ages to each live event.

Event management said, “We try to bring the top possible names to every event here. Last year saw three huge events take place at the Cheese and Grain, with international stars Oliver Grey, Chris Masters and Doug Williams.

“This year will be even bigger with more world class competitors such as Brodus Clay/Tyrus this month, with more to follow. We can’t thank our loyal fans enough for their continued support.”

The event, suitable for all ages will open it’s doors at 5.00pm with showtime at 5.30pm. The event will finish at 8.00pm. Following the event there will be an opportunity to meet all the wrestlers and collect photos and autographs.
