Cheese & Grain receives £10,000 lottery funding

THECheese and Grain in Frome has been given £10,000 from National Lottery funding.

The Cheese and Grain will use its funding to deliver a series of activity workshops for teenagers, some of whom are living with disabilities.

The project aims to engage young people in positive activities and strengthen community relationships.

Activities will include skateboarding, gig nights, DJ sessions, a games club and setting up a website. Young people will have the opportunity to volunteer to help run children’s activities and to become youth ambassadors, helping to lead the project and to publicise it.

More than 80 community projects across the South West will be helping improve their communities after the Big Lottery Fund awarded a total of £2,737,434 to the region.
