Tri.Art are all set for new school year

Tri.Art Theatre School and Dance Academy start the new year with a brand new timetable, featuring additional and new classes.

They say, “As well as all our graded and vocational classes in ballet, modern, tap and ballroom, we now also offer a pay-as-you-go adult intermediate ballet class and a senior tap class for age 14+.

“After the huge success of last year’s productions of Sleeping Beauty, West Side Story, Mathilda and Tri.Art Dance Showcase we will continue to encourage and further the performance opportunities for all our students.

“This year we shall be taking part in the Merlin’s Christmas production, putting on our annual full-length ballet at Easter as well as hosting the Tri.Art summer school production. Details of all our dance classes can be found on tri.art.co.uk and theatre school workshops can be found at www.   merlintheatre.co.uk

“We are delighted to announce that we have achieved another fantastic set of results from our summer examination session, with 95% of students achieving Distinction or Merit.

“We would like to applaud the success and wish the best of luck to those of our students who have come to the end of their training with us and are going on to study dance in further education:

“Natasha Arcoleo, who after receiving offers from dance schools including Laban and The Place, has accepted a place at The Northern School of Contemporary, where she will be studying for three years to achieve her BPA (hons) in contemporary dance.

“Dixie Newman is following her dreams of musical theatre and has accepted a place at the very prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she will be studying to obtain a BA Hons in Acting (Musical Theatre), after offers from the RADA, Italia Conti and ALRA.”

Dixie says, “Tri.Art is such a welcoming school, full of diverse talent. The teaching is superb and has really helped me with my confidence in dancing. I certainly have a great grounding before I go to study musical theatre in London in October (2015) and will miss everyone deeply.”

“Jess Nicholson who has accepted a place on the foundation course at Oxford Drama School to pursue her dreams of a career in acting.

“Hannah White – after many offers from dance schools, Hannah has accepted her place at London Studio Centre where she will be studying for a diploma in contemporary and jazz.

“Congratulations also to (Miss) Sarah Wingrove, one of our Tri. Art teachers, who has graduated from Bath Spa University gaining a BA hons in dance and drama. We are very happy that Sarah has chosen to continue her career with Tri.Art.

“Chana Joyce – we are delighted for Chana who has been accepted at Swindon Youth Dance Centre of Excellence for Talented Dancers this year, (following in the footsteps of fellow Tri.Art students Hannah White, Natasha Arcoleo and Phoebe Hoyland).”
