FROME Memorial Theatre’s calendar is full of exciting entertainment for the coming weeks. The Frome Times has the dates you need to keep, so you don’t miss a thing.
From Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th November, Frome Memorial Theatre Company presents Showstoppers.
This year, Showstoppers again provides an evening of varied music, drawing from Queen, Mary Poppins and Joseph, intermingled with great operatic choruses.
They are pleased to announce that as well as their own soloists, they are being joined by performers from Hairspray and Peter Pan. Tickets cost £9.
Please note that as there is no specific seating plan in the Assembly Rooms, the choice of seats is down to the individual.
Then on Saturday 21st November starting at 7.30pm Gary Mullen & The Works perform ‘One Night of Queen.’
In 2000, Gary Mullen won ITV’s ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ Live Grand Final, with the largest number of votes ever received in the show’s history.
Gary began touring on his own and in 2002 formed a band ‘The Works’, to pay tribute to rock legends Queen. Since May 2002, they have performed throughout the UK, USA, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand to sell-out audiences.
The outfit has also twice rocked the prestigious BBC Proms in the Park, in front of a crowd of 40,000. One Night of Queen is a spectacular live concert, recreating the look, sound, pomp and showmanship of arguably the greatest rock band of all time. This show will rock you.
Tickets cost £18.50 and £17.50 concessions.
Then on Thursday 26th November from 7.30pm, TV psychic medium, Tony Stockwell, presents ‘An Evening of Mediumship.
Organisers say, “For those with an interest in mediumship, the name of Tony Stockwell will certainly need no introduction. Tony has been working tirelessly for over 25 years to demonstrate his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones.
“Tony’s insight into the lives of total strangers is inexplicable and remarkable as he attempts to offer fascinating revelations from the other side.
“Tony Stockwell is a spiritualist medium, and spirit communication is part of his own religious belief, but we accept differing opinions exist regarding mediumship. Any demonstration of mediumship is an experiment and results are not guaranteed.”
Tickets cost £19 and Concessions £18. Pre-show meals available.
