Cats Protection Autumn Fair raised £800

STAFF at Frome & District Cats Protection are delighted to announce they raised £800 at their Autumn Fair last month.

Crowds of people went along to support the event which took place at Frome Cricket Club, with lots of children dressing to impress in their best cat costumes.

Charity spokesperson Ginny Parratt said, “With the weather the way it was we had a steady day and at the end of it we raised a staggering £800.

“Thank you to Garston Vets for sponsoring the event, The Fox & Hounds at Tytherington and Mole Valley farmers who kindly donated prizes for the raffle. Also thanks to Asda for kindly supplying pumpkins which added to the autumnal feel and Elliegant Gems, Forever Living, and Hayleybelles for their support.

“Thanks also to the Frome Times for your help in promoting the event.

“Unfortunately, the weather kept the black cats away, but we had a few little ones who dressed up which was lovely.”
