Tom Robinson: there isn’t a better place than Frome for my grand finale”

SONG writer and broadcaster Tom Robinson will be bringing his ‘Mighty Sword of Justice Tour’ to the Cheese & Grain on Thursday 12th November.

Inspired by the new music he heard through his 6 Music show, Tom Robinson returns with his first new album in twenty years.

‘Only The Now’ was made with award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Diver and was released by Pledge Music this month.

The songs are as vibrant and edgy as any he’s ever written, the sound of a veteran craftsman – drawing on his long, rich fund of experience – with a renewed energy and purpose.

Tom said, “”I can’t think of a better place – or venue – for the grand finale of my first band tour this century. It’s not only the home of one of the top independent record stores in the country, but also of my 6 Music colleague Huey Morgan.

“I’m definitely going to be visiting Raves From The Grave – they’re legendary among record collectors all over the country for their next-day-delivery service of discs that are near-impossible to get anywhere else.

“Quite apart from the music connections, any town capable of giving the world Charlie Higson – and choosing people like Nick White and Dickon Moore to be their mayor, gets a big fat thumbs-up in my book.”

Doors open at 8pm, tickets cost £19 in advance and £22 on the door. Tickets available from the Cheese and Grain box office on 01373 455420 and Raves From the Grave on 01373 464666.
