Local businesses ‘keeping Frome great’

Following Frome’s recent winning of the Great Town Award, local businesses are coming together at the monthly Business Breakfast on December 1st,  to discuss how to strengthen the local business community, and contribute to making the town even greater.

The meetings, sponsored by the Frome Town Council and the Frome Chamber of Commerce, are proving a hit among local businesses, with over 25 attending November’s meeting.

Laura Parry, project assistant at Frome Town Council said, “The breakfasts are a great way for individuals and organisations to meet, as well as engage and participate in what is going on in and around town.  Representatives of any businesses or social enterprises based in Frome and the surrounding area are encouraged to attend and join the growing community.”

December’s event, on Tuesday 1st December, will be hosted by Edventure at the Welsh Mill Hub. Cllr Jean Boulton will lead a discussion that considers; what is needed to continue to build a thriving, exemplary, socially and environmentally-responsible business community (sharing resources, sharing leading-edge ideas, space, access to staff and apprentices, communications, promotion); what does Frome need to thrive?

The meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss how to strengthen the links between business, education, social enterprise and the people of Frome.

There will be a Q&A session and plenty of opportunity to network, so  bring your business cards!

There will also be a town quiz and, in the spirit of the festive season, a prize for the winner.

The cost is £10 and includes a cooked buffet breakfast, complimentary tea, coffee and juice, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
