A LOCAL charity support group will be holding a pub quiz night in aid of people fleeing the Syrian war.
The local Shelter Box Support Group will be hosting the quiz at the Royal Oak in Corsley on Friday 27th November from 7pm. Tickets cost £10 and include supper.
The quiz will be held in teams of four – people are welcome to enter as a group, or individuals will be welcome and placed into a team.
Support group member Jill Brunning said, “We are helping people fleeing the conflict in Syria to temporarily relocate in camps on the Syrian borders until the conflict is over and they can return home.
“They desperately need tents and warmth as winter approaches and so we are supporting them via the well-established charity Shelter Box who are already on the ground in the area.”
