Carers plan skydive to raise funds for residents’ minibus

TWOhealthcare assistants at Frome Care Village have resolved to put aside their fears of heights for the day and jump from a plane to raise money towards a minibus for residents at the home.

Charlotte Davis and Sophie Toogood  will be taking part in a sponsored sky dive on Friday 22nd April at the Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury, to help raise money for the people who live at Frome Care Village.

Sophie said, “Our aim is to raise as much money as possible so we can purchase a brand new mini bus for the people who live at the home.

“We want to better their lives and this is a great way of adding value. We welcome as many people as possible to join us for moral support.”

The home manager Margaret Rhodes added, “Since we have completely remodelled the care we deliver at Frome Care Village, our staff have really embraced the change and are now living with the people they care for, rather than just working for them.

“This act of generosity on behalf of Sophie and Charlotte is an example of a care team that not only love what they do, but are willing to go the extra mile to make a difference. I’m proud to have them as part of the family.”

If you would like to sponsor Sophie and Charlotte then please contact them on 07821 496538 or contact the home directly on 01373 468021.

Frome Care Village is a dementia care home on Styles Hill and is part of a national chain Alexis Care.
