Join St. John’s Church in women’s day of prayer

ASERVICEwill be held at St. John’s Church next month to celebrate the international Women’s World Day of Prayer.

Women’s World Day of Prayer is an international, inter-church event which celebrates women from a different part of the world each year, expressing their hopes and concerns and bringing them before the rest of the world in prayer.

A service will be held at St. John’s Church near King Street on Friday 4th March, from 2.30pm.

The service will join an estimated 3 million people, in over 170 countries using an order of service written by Christian women from Cuba.

The theme of the service is taken from Mark,  Chapter 10,  Verses 13 – 16, ‘Let the little children come to me, do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it’.

Challenging words for a world that is full of difficulty and problems for adults and children alike.

Everyone is welcome to attend this service, men, women and people of all ages. There will be refreshments afterwards and a charity cake stall.
