50 EXTRA trade stands have been added to the ground plan for this year’s Frome Show to cope with the demand for space that’s expected by the time the show opens on 13th September.
All of the stands in the Fine Food, Local Food and Rural Crafts marquees have already been sold and sales of stand space on the showfield itself have already matched the levels they had reached this time last year.
Show secretary Brenda Scott said, “In 2013 we sold out completely well before the show opened and had to disappoint a number of potential exhibitors as a result. This year we’ve added the extra spaces so that won’t happen again.
“It will also give our visitors an even greater variety of stands to browse through and whether they’re looking for gloves or garden furniture, books or boots or indeed t-shirts or tractors, they’ll have an even greater choice when it comes to making their purchases.”
However Brenda added that anyone interested in taking space at the show shouldn’t leave it too long, as a number of the extra stands on the ground plan pinned up on the wall by her desk already had names pencilled in on them. “There’s also a number of sponsorship packages available. The show is organised by a great team of volunteers and sponsorship goes a long way towards ensuring its continued success. Packages start from as little as £75.00 – again contact us for information.
“And if you’re interested in entering any of the many competitions at the show which are open to members of the public, schedules are now available.
“They include all the information you need to know, especially if you are interested in baking, photography, growing vegetables or want to compete with your horse. There’s a class for everyone including many which are divided into different age groups for children to compete in for free – great for keeping them amused during the summer holidays!
