Local organisations have received a £20,000 funding boost thanks to the Frome Lions Club.
The club has donated £2,000 to the Royal United Hospital (RUH) in Bath to support its appeal for a new PET-CT scanner. The money was raised through the Lions’ annual Tree of Remembrance, held at Rook Lane Chapel over the Christmas period.
Dorothy House Hospice Care in Winsley also received £18,000, raised at a sporting dinner held at Elmhay Park Orchardleigh in February.
Members of the Lions Club visited both charities to present the cheques in person.
