SOUL and jazz funk legends Shakatak will be playing a special festive show at Frome’s Cheese and Grain next week.
Founded in 1980, Shakatak still perform all over the world from huge festivals, concert halls to selective clubs.
Organiser Graham Price said, “It’s a huge coup getting this legendary band to play just in time for the Christmas party season!
“They sell out Ronnie Scott’s every year. They have achieved a level of success and career longevity unparalleled in contemporary music.
“Shakatak are a household name after a series of chart topping singles and classic albums including ‘Down on the Street’, ‘Night Birds’, and ‘Day by Day’.
“They continue to record annually proving an insatiable demand for the unique Shakatak sound. The four original members are augmented on their live shows by an extra guitarist and female backing vocalist.”
The show starts at 8pm. Tickets cost £18.50 in advance or £21.50 on the door. Available from www.cheeseandgrain.com or 01373 455420 or from Raves from the Grave.
