A FLOWER Festival is being held in aid of St Catharine Catholic Church’s 50th anniversary.
Over the weekend of Saturday 26th May to Monday 28th May, celebrate the current church’s 50th anniversary and also 90 years as a Catholic church on Park Road.
Flower festivals are a common way of celebrating special events in the life of churches and this year St. Catharine’s will decorate the church with special flower arrangements which will tell the history of the church and celebrate the life of the parish.
The church will be open on 26th, 27th and 28th May and refreshments including tea, coffee, soft drinks and lunches will be on offer in the parish hall.
All are welcome to go and have a look around the church and join in the celebrations, with free entry.
