The welcome return of the Energy Café 

FROME Town Council is hosting another Energy Café, offering advice and guidance on managing energy use in the home.

The town council says, “Following the success of last month’s first drop-in session and with the increase in energy prices now a reality, why not come along to the next Energy Café which takes place on Saturday 7th May to have a chat with impartial energy experts who can give advice? 

“Being held at Frome Town Hall from 9am – 12pm, pop in for free information and refreshments, no appointment is necessary. Energy advisers trained by the Centre of Sustainable Energy will be able to provide a range of advice and guidance including tips on ventilation and avoiding damp, condensation and mould, help with understanding energy use, switching to better value/ green tariffs, and claiming relevant benefits fuel vouchers or energy support.” 

Frome Town Council’s resilience project officer, Jo Morris added, “Last month’s first café was a great success, 13 people were able to receive excellent in-depth advice relevant to their households and went away with hints and tips to try to stay in control of those bills while keeping homes warm.  

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to drop by on 7th May, we’ll be there to offer advice and a cuppa and point you in the right direction. Keep an eye on Frome Town Council’s Healthy Homes page as there will be more cafes coming over the next few months.”
