THERE will be a vast assortment of talent at the Silk Mill on February 24th/25th in an art extravaganza, raising funds for Refugee Action in Somerset East.
The event will bring together a combination of internationally-famous artists, along with an array of artisan market stalls, live music, bar and café.
Lorna Thomas, on behalf of RAISE (Refugee Action in Somerset East) said, “Would you like to own a piece of original art, unique to your own home? Are you a collector, looking for an opportunity to buy an exceptional piece?
“Would you like to own a piece of original art, unique to your own home? There is plenty of choice here, for this weekend only, with paintings from renowned artists for collectors, bargains for the cheapskates and plenty of choice between those extremes.
“Ever wanted an artwork of yours to be auctioned? This is your chance, to be a small part of a ready-to-hang artwork on the theme of ‘Home’ (because refugees don’t have one)
“Do you have creative children who like to do a bit of making and selling? If so, there is a stall especially for them. Or would you fancy having your portrait done?
“Do you enjoy a spot of lively music, or folk or choral singing? Turn up at the right time, and you will hear it.
“Don’t miss it!”
The event will start at 11am on Saturday 24th February until 4pm and from 11.30 on Sunday 25th February until 3pm.
