Grants of £500 have been awarded to a school and a charity in Frome to support their ongoing work with the local community.
Hayesdown First School and Fair Frome both received grants from the Asda Community Foundation.
Asda Community Champion Jackie Scott visited the school and Fair Frome to present cheques recently.
She said, “I was so glad to visit Hayesdown First School. It was great meeting all the children from the school council and the Parent Teacher Association who are spending the money on sports equipment.”
Fair Frome, which runs the town’s food bank, received the funds to go towards feeding children in the school holidays.
Jackie said, “This amazing charity is doing their very best to help the residents of our town who are living on the breadline.”
