There is an exciting line-up at the Cheese and Grain for August as the venue aims to bounce back in style from the Covid lockdown.
Coming up are…
• Bon Giovi plus Saints of Sin, Friday 6th August / Doors 8pm. Covering every aspect of Bon Jovi’s extensive career, BON GIOVI perform all the greatest hits such as Living On A Prayer, It’s My Life, Wanted Dead or Alive, as well as many others from every album ever produced in one amazing stage show which include all these hits and more, not too mention performing rare tracks that even Bon Jovi haven’t performed for many years.
• Frank Turner – THE GATHERING, Saturday 7th + Sunday 8th August. Doors 3pm.
Frank Turner with Matt Nasir + special acoustic guests Skinny Lister, Guise, Pet Needs & Samantics & more tbc. Over the course of an astonishing career spanning 20 years + and counting – during which he has to date sold in excess 1 million records and played to over 2 million people – Frank Turner’s popularity has grown with his artistry.
His return to the Cheese and Grain will see Frank not only performing but curating two 1 day music festivals dubbed “The Gathering”, on successive nights on 7th & 8th August. The Gathering will see Frank Turner bring some of his favourite artists to Frome to share the stage with him over the two events.
• Fleetwood Bac. Friday 13th August / Doors 8pm. The sound, the look, the mystical atmosphere and on-stage chemistry are all portrayed with the passion and energy that got the seal of approval from ‘Big Daddy’ Mick, and built up an excellent reputation amongst Mac fans through numerous tours, festival appearances, corporate events and TV and radio slots all over the U.K. and Europe.
• THE SOUTH + support Phil Cooper. Saturday 21st August. Doors 8pm.
Celebrating the Beautiful South legacy and great songs of their own, the band (fronted by Alison Wheeler) continues performing the classic songs including: A Little Time – the number one single, Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Old Red Eyes, Good as Gold, Don’t Marry Her. All performed again live, these songs span an impressive 20 year career starting way back in 1989!
• BAD MANNERS + support Rat Race. Friday 27th August. Doors 8pm
Formed in 1976, and still going strong and now into their fourth decade of creating Mod Mayhem, this legendary British Ska band are still packing venues out all over the world. The band are still fronted by the man himself Buster Bloodvessel and always deliver a powerful energetic show leaving the audience exhausted but thoroughly content.
• THE HAMMERVILLES . Bank Holiday Beach Party, Sunday 29th August. Doors 6pm
Famed for their energetic rock/pop floor fillers, party covers band The Hammervilles are throwing a massive summer party as a fundraiser for the venue.
